Art is Statement

My work is ignited by a fixation in certain objects or technologies that create preconceived notions or behaviors. By appropriating and questioning these structures I am able to introduce foreign sets of hybrid associations in either their functionality or purpose.

I am interested in technique or technology, migration (as transnational, intra or multicultural discourse), displacement, reconfiguration and resilience within structures. Issues I tend to explore by the malleability of the digital media, machinery and mechanisms, physical computing, sound, sculpture and installations.
