Paulina’s work is ignited by a fixation in certain objects or technologies that create pre-conceived notions or behaviors. By appropriating and questioning these structures she is able to introduce foreign sets of hybrid associations in either their functionality, purpose or intent.
She is thoroughly interested in tékhnē, technique or technology, migration (as transnational, and intra or multicultural discourse), displacement, reconfiguration and resilience within structures or marginal contexts. Issues she tends to explore by the malleability of the digital media, machinery and mechanisms, sculpture and installations.
